ideas to target people not on their phone

base images

Kristen as SuperSnap

Addressing the muddied look of the posters presented in class 9.2. I have taken the original photo and upped the exposure and gamma to remove some of the muddied tone. then taken the photo through a tutorial on pop art. In this the photo has a poster edge gallery filter, a halftone effect, maximum vibrancy overlay, and eye reflection dots added.

This was a full half tone but it looked weird over the eyes, teeth and earring so I have removed the half tone from those areas.

I have removed the half tone from the skin and cape to make them stand out more.

Trying a Comic strip border. its white so doesnt show well on here.

Inspiration

Trying a more shaped box but I don't think this is working. Its not as clean. also i don't think ive done it right

Gone more comic book, illustrated style. smaller text and text box

The shape wasn't working with the extra text so I i tried a full panel. still in the style of the polygon. Text placement on this isn't looking quite right. It might need to be all nearer the bottom

Post Monday 2nd Meeting

The concept has changed hugely after the meeting. We are going really comic book, with the borders the bubbles, the illustrated style face.

I don't like the half tone on her shirt, its really hard on your eyes, and I'm not real keen on the colour scheme but at this point there is no time for debate, we really need to move forward or risk having only one poster.

The addition of the character breaking the frame strengthens her super status and the comic book style. Im not so keen on the typeface in the speech bubble but the other frame is working now.

Reflective Image of the Week - Week 9

WEEW! Actually some progress, the presentation went really well and we got some really constructive feedback which leads us onto a direction! Yay!

Class 9.2 - Presentation and development

Initial presentation:

Laying out all of the work to present to the class.

Laying out a further presentation and 'walk-through'

Working actively with document

Pin - up and critique with others in class

Critique on poster - this is the one style working the best which people are liking. From here we will work with this and develop the styles together.

Critique on this:

From here we will both go on to develop what we have, make iterations, up the posters and change the slogans and work. Put more in so people can tell what the app is instantly and want to download the app ASAP instead of being un-interested.

Also I think it is important to develop a bus which is totally dedicated to this campaign.

Feedback

TO DO:

- Devleop the images further
- Meet Monday, decide the style, font, logo then develop the touchpoints into this style

Target Audience

Young Commuters

Our target audience is young to mid-age bus commuters who are too busy on their phones and often have headphones in to block out the world. These commuters take up the priority and front seats of the bus, and are unaware when someone boards who needs a seat more. The barrier is they are not taking notice.

They range widely from high-school, university, and working aged people. The main people to target would be the lower end of that spectrum. The age group which may not have been taught the proper public transport etiquette of standing up for your elders.
