We learnt about everyones projects which are coming along nicely and it is interesting to see which directions everyone has taken their different briefs around well-being.
I showed my group what I have done over the past few days and they gave some really positive critiques - one person said they really wish the app existed and they could use it as it has such good initiatives!
I was really happy with this feedback from some different people whom don't all have VCD backgrounds, we also user tested the app and they found their way through it very easily.
I gave some others my feedback surrounding their projects but yet again I struggled to give feedback to Annalis the fashion design student.
It is good to give some visual communication design perspective feedback to the others and they appreciated some layout ideas I had.
Overview:
I felt this exercise was interesting but I wished more of my group was more dedicated to the exercise. this would have meant we would have always had everyone meet at the correct time and we would have benefited and would have followed each others different processes better. Some other areas of COCA apparently are not being marked on this exercise so they didn't bother to show up.
I did enjoy learning what other third years get up to and what they do in various sectors of the course. I already did know a lot about the photography and spatial area assignments as I have friends outside of the exchange group which I often show my work and they show theirs to. We understand what each-other are doing.
I understand this exercise would be great benefit to those without ties to other people from across the collage but being honest I never got as great benefit from the exercise as I would have hoped, although showing up to every meeting.
